Lawmakers face call-back to Mo. capitol
Jefferson City - Gov. Jay Nixon's expected call Friday for a special jobs session would find bipartisan support in Warrensburg.
Courtney Cole, a Democrat running in the 121st House District, called for a special session May 24 on the Manufacturing Jobs Act and repeated the call Thursday.
"I feel it is necessary to pass some sort of jobs bill," Cole said. "I'm disappointed (lawmakers) didn't do this in the first go-around, when they were supposed to be focused on taking care of the people."

Central Missouri candidate calls on legislature to have a 'special session' on jobs
(Warrensburg, Mo.) - Democratic candidate for 121st District State Representative Courtney Cole has called on the legislature to, "agree to a special session to focus on passing a badly needed jobs bill to put Missourians back to work."
The request comes after Representative Jerry Nolte opened the idea, something Govenor Jay Nixon has said he's be open to if the legislature was productive.

House candidates clash over 'tracker'
Warrensburg - Rep. Denny Hoskins denied his campaign employs a "tracker" to follow Democratic opponent Courtney Cole.
A representative of Show Me Progress, a pro-Democrat Web site, took photos and interviewed a man Wednesday who refused to give his name or state. But the man said he worked as a tracker and has "been working in politics for a while."

Courtney Cole makes it official
Pledges to be a true voice for all Johnson County families and small businesses in these tough economic times
Warrensburg, MO-- State Representative Candidate Courtney Cole made it official on Monday, placing her name on the ballot for District 121. The teacher and mother, officially filed at 11:18 a.m. as the Democrat for State Representative.
“Over the last seven months I have spoken to Johnson County families, Republican and Democrat, who all felt they needed a true leader in Jefferson City. I am honored to have their support and feel in these tough economic times, it is time to get rid of the partisan games in Jefferson City so that we can truly help the families and businesses in Johnson County,” said Courtney Cole.
Since entering the race seven months ago, Courtney Cole has spoken to hundreds of Johnson County voters. Her campaign collected over $25,000 in small contributions and has sponsored numerous events throughout the community.
Courtney Cole is a high school teacher at Higginsville High School in Higginsville, Missouri. Her husband, Jason, teaches broadcasting at the University of Central Missouri and they have a daughter, Mackenzie.
“Jason and I are like every Johnson County family. We love this community and want to see it prosper for everyone. Even in these tough economic times, there are things that can be done to create jobs here at home. Right now in Jefferson City, the interests of Johnson County are being placed on the backburner for the interests of large donors. Our community deserves better leadership, and as your State Representative, I will ensure your voice is heard no matter who you know or what party you belong to,” said Courtney Cole.

House District 121: Cole outraises incumbent for second consecutive quarter
The race between incumbent state Rep. Denny Hoskins (R) and challenger Courtney Cole (D) is beginning to take shape, evidenced through recent campaign finance report filings.
Over the last quarter Cole raised $2.55 for every dollar received by Hoskins, a sign that Cole's campaign has picked up momentum since it's launch last August. In fact, this is the second consecutive quarter Cole outraised her opponent.
